Automated robotic manufacturing cell in operation

Four Disciplines.
One Production Line.

Molding, tooling, engineered products, and automation are not separate departments here. They share a floor, a data model, and a single quality system — which is why a design change reaches a validated part in weeks, not quarters.

01 Production

Injection Molding

Advanced multi-component and high-tonnage injection molding delivering consistent, lightweight, high-integrity parts engineered for demanding under-the-hood and structural applications. Every press runs closed-loop on cavity pressure, so the process corrects itself before a part drifts out of tolerance rather than after.

  • 2K & 3K multi-component
  • 50 – 1,300 tonne clamping
  • Hybrid overmolding
  • In-mold labelling & decoration
  • Gas- and water-assist
  • Cleanroom-adjacent molding

02 Metrology

Tooling & Measurement

Micron-level tooling manufacture coupled with 3D optical coordinate metrology, ensuring high repeatability, dynamic process validation, and zero-defect QA across all run cycles. First-article reports are generated from the same scan data that feeds our SPC loop, so there is one measurement truth from tryout through series.

  • 5-axis high-speed CNC
  • Wire & sinker EDM
  • Blue-light 3D scanning
  • CMM fixture validation
  • GD&T first-article reporting
  • Climate-controlled metrology lab

Engineered Products

From complex kinetic assemblies to thermal management housings, we turn stringent functional requirements into robust, high-performance automotive subsystems. We take responsibility for the function, not just the geometry — which means we own the DFMEA, the tolerance stack, and the validation plan alongside your engineers.

  • Kinetic & latching assemblies
  • Thermal management housings
  • Fluid reservoirs & routing
  • Sealed electronic enclosures
  • Vibration-welded assemblies
  • Leak- and burst-tested at EOL

04 Automation

Precision Automation & Robotics

Integrated robotic production cells, AI-driven optical inspection, and automated assembly pathways that drive down tact time and ensure maximum scalability. We build our own cells, so when a program ramps we re-tool the automation in-house instead of queuing behind an integrator's backlog.

  • 6-axis robotic take-out
  • Automated assembly cells
  • AI optical defect detection
  • Vision-guided pick & place
  • Automated packing & traceability
  • Line-side data historian

HOW WE WORK

Concept To Series

Six stages, all under one roof. The handoffs that usually cost programs their launch date simply do not exist here.

Co-Engineering

Design-for-manufacture review with your team before geometry is frozen.

Simulation

Moldflow, thermal and structural analysis prior to cutting tool steel.

Tool Fabrication

HKR builds the mold or die to the validated simulation model.

Tryout

In-house tryout presses qualify the tool and produce first articles.

Series Molding

Automated cells run production under closed-loop process control.

Verification

End-of-line inspection, traceability logging and packed dispatch.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Equipment & Materials

A representative extract. Full machine and material lists are available under NDA on request.

Machine Envelope

Injection presses 50 – 1,300 t
Multi-component units 2K / 3K
5-axis high-speed CNC Up to 42,000 RPM
EDM wire & die sinking ± 2 μm
Optical 3D scanning Blue-light, 8 μm
Robotic cells 6-axis, 28 units

Processed Materials

PA6 PA66-GF35 PBT PP-TD20 PPS PPA POM ABS / PC-ABS PC TPE / TPV LSR PEEK LFT Recyclate blends

Glass- and mineral-filled grades are processed on wear-protected screws and hardened tool steels. Where a program targets recycled content, we qualify the recyclate blend through the same moldflow and mechanical validation path as virgin resin — no exceptions, because a sustainability target that fails PPAP helps nobody.

Tight tolerance, awkward geometry, or a launch date that already slipped? Those are the programs we are built for.
